"Total garbage, except for "Tears." Should be titled "INSULT" to Rush! I can't believe anyone would publish this crap! Don't waste your time or money!"
This is as bad as the band A.C.

"Just damn! I've been a Rush fan for years and this is embarassing. I am also a fan of death metal. So I was a little curious. What a disaster. To me it sounds like these bands are mocking Rush. It's sort of an insult. There were 2 bands, Prototype, and Premonition, that sounded okay. They sing. They don't have the death metal growling vocals. They did the songs Red Barchetta and The Spirit Of Radio. But it's not worth the money just for those 2 bands. The rest of the cd is horrible. These bands should have done an A.C. Tribute instead. Most of the time, tributes are a joke anyway, and especially with Rush, you're better off with the real thing, but you just MUST have a Rush tribute cd, get Working Man instead. There's plenty of talented musicians on that cd, such as Billy Sheehan, James Murphy, Devin Townsend, Deen Castronovo, members of Shadow Gallery, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, and stuff like that. There's only one winner for a Rush tribute. WORKING MAN! Not Red Star!"
Ain't nothin' like the real thing.

"It has never been a problem marketing the talentless to the tasteless. This album, with one minor exception, stands as an example to that fact.

As a long-time Rush fan I almost found listening to this CD sacrileges'.

Why would anyone dumb-down Rush's music in this way? The death-metal "vocalists" sound like they're gargling with broken glass. (My daughter actually thought they were trying to sing like the Cookie Monster!)

If you ever wondered how Rush's music would sound stripped of it's integrity, this is the album for you.

I found there was actually one track on this CD that made the purchase worthwhile: Freewill. The vocalist covering this track just nails the very high "cell of awarness" line. That kind of power and range has to be respected. Accordingly, I give him three stars for that one note.
