"... and of course some great singing and playing!

I grew up there, so I know. They used to play many of these songs ad naseum on the radio...

Nevertheless, now I listen with much joy.

If you understand Russian, you would enjoy even more, but even without lyrics, this is some powerful and moving music.

Recording is of high quality, with good dynamic range.
