By the initial sounds of it, the Rebelz seem to be taking a page out of Public Enemy's playbook by concentrating on their lyrical content, rather than making a club banger vixens can shake their ass to. This is evident on the opening track Dark City Anthem, where it is proclaimed that You've been chosen for this mission due to your ability/To look at this society with cold objectivity/Build with others of your intellectual capacity/Without a loss on your part of discretion or humility. They stay along this path of conscious Hip-Hop as primary emcees Professor and Justice continuously trade bars throughout Operation Dark City, like when they discuss System Failure over a bass-heavy beat or spit about the "Street Corner Theory" over a simplistic drum rhythm.
