CD Reviews

God Bless MTV UK edition.
Robert Plant wishes he was me | ATL, Ga | 09/07/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I am currently living in iceland where i get British and German MTV, let me just say that this is what the "original" american edition should aspire to be like. They play all the indie/underground artists' videos that in the states you could only read about(i.e. no JoJo and her ilk clogging the time slots). Even then bands like this would probably get no coverage, except in your more ecclectic rags. Let me say that I heard just one track off this album, #9 Stumble & Fall, last night and i instantly bought the whole thing. In the tradition of the new wave of bands coming out right now The Libertines, Strokes, all "garage" music etc. Thats the sound you can expect here, only i find that in the other albums, save few, a couple of tracks left me wanting. This, however, is very consistent record of tunes to rock to. Buy it you won't be disappointed."
Not one bad song

"I was in London last summer and saw an advertisement for the album in the tube. It said it was one of the best debut albums in years. I bought it, not having heard any of the songs and haven't been able to stop playing it since."
The best CD of 2004

"I bought this CD on the spot after hearing just one track being played over the PA system in a record store on Florida. To me the vibe is less raw and more produced than other bands that they have been linked with.Really up tempo stuff, you had better watch your speed if you listen to it in the car. I play it alongside Maroon 5, Midtown, The Strokes and Feeder. Don't listen to the hype, listen to the music, Up all night is the best CD I have bought this year."
