CD Reviews

Tearin' Up the Dancefloor
charles | Los Angeles | 11/27/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you're looking for hands-in-the-air, totally uplifting and energizing Progressive House, look no further than this debut CD from the guys who started it all: Razor n' Guido. After a string of dancefloor mega-hits with both original productions (incl. "You Used To Hold Me" & "The Buildup") and remixes (incl. Robert Miles' "Fable" & Kylie Minogue's "Did It Again"), the Long Island progenitors of the East Coast Progressive House sound have released this amazingly solid CD. Highlights include the super-charged title track, "Dancefloor", the simmering percussion tease of "In The Music" and, of course, the first single, "Miss The Way". Their previous hit, "Do It Again" is on here, too. Overall, this is a really fun CD and it's non-stop format will have people tearin' up the floor whether at a club or your next house party."
I Miss the K that you Love Me

"Reina's vocals in "miss the way" were slamming so hard against my ear drums, she took me right out of the deepest k-hole I've ever been in. The mountain I laid on myself was nothing compared to this slammin track. If it wasn't for her jacked boyfriend and insane NWA wanna be bodyguard, I'd ask her to marry me."
They deserved TWO discs...

"A disc released at the height of Razor n Guido's popularity should have given us so much more! This excellent mix of some of their most slammin' anthems is hurt only by the fact that with 17 tracks on one disc, some are no longer than 3 minutes!!! 2 discs with all their long mixes is what we should have gotten, especially since some of these mixes are near impossible to get any other place! But that doesn't mean fans of peak hour club music shouldn't own this one! Track times:
