Synopsis

Product Description
Brick Records has always been known for breaking talent (7L & Esoteric, Mr. Lif, Insight, King Syze, D-Tension, etc...) and their tenth year will be no exception; enter Raydar Ellis. In the vein of Boston bred Hip Hop renaissance men like Insight and Edan, Raydar is most comfortable making music on his terms, rhyming, producing, scratching even mixing his own joints. With a refreshing album full of intelligent rhymes, soulful production, positive thoughts, laugh out loud humor and themed skits that would make Prince Paul proud, "Late Pass" is destined to have something for everyone. Supporting Ellis on the vocal tip are Boston Hip Hop legends Edo. G and 7L & Esoteric and newer school wordsmiths Project Move as well as Raydar's Short Bus crew. The album is self-produced with the exception of contributions from 7L (Esoteric, Army Of The Pharoahs, Tragedy Khadafi) and recent Rawkus Records signee Hezekiah (Black Thought, Musiq Soul Child, Freeway) and NC's Clokwork. His debut single "Graffiti Rock" (TEG-BRK 061) has gained critical acclaim and a wide variety of glowing press the world over. Raydar Ellis was part of the Beats for Peace tour with Slum Village, Medusa, Supernatural, and Cee-lo and has performed with a wide range of artists such as George Duke, Me'shell N'Degecello, Sheila E. and WWE Super Star John Cena. Raydar will be on the road all throughout '06 show casing his intense live stage show by supporting acts like Insight, Dahga, Edan, 7L & Esoteric and Project Move. He will also be featured in the June/July issues of Scratch, URB, Yellow Rat Bastard and Elemental magazines. The NEXT school has arrived! Pay attention.
