Raven the Hustler was born and raised in the streets of Chicago. "Growing wasn't easy in the windy city for me" says Raven of his childhood years. "Everyday presented a new challenge in streets notrious for street gangs and drugs. We couldn't avoid it everywhere you turned it was in yo face" In Raven's last year of high school he and his family moved down to the dirty south Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There he finish high school and hit the streets again. "Louisiana is a hard place to survive in for a youngsta and seem like the only income for everybody I know" After a year and a half out of school a few run-ins with law. " All I can say is I was outthere bad doing everything chasing paper, then I feel God sent me a few signs letting me know it's time for a change. Then the final straw was when my car mysteriously burned up, so I pack my bags and headed to Houston, Texas to change my life or die trying. Raven enrolled in The Art Institute to study the music business and the video industry. At the institute Raven maintain a 3.5 or higher G.P.A. "I was never a ignortant person I just done some ignortant thangs. Raven graduated and pursued a record deal, but it was not easy to obtain. " A record deal was not easy to obtain, so I set out to learn the game, so I hunted people I liked down. I remember meeting with Master P when he out here in Houston right before he release Bout It, Bout It he spit a litttle game to me. I went to back and forth to the Bay area in Northern California and talked to E-40's uncle Saint Charles who helped The Click, Master P, and other Bay area legends in the independent circuit.
