Synopsis

Album Description
"Devotional music has never sounded as serene and sensual as it does in the world of Rasa." -- John Diliberto, EchoesEvokes a sense of passion with stunning performances by four guest vocalists that perfectly juxtapose Waters's exquisite voice and Christian's virtuosic arrangements. The sound of Rasa is unlike anything you've ever heard. Sensual vocals, soaring cello, and sarangi swirls weave a sacred tunic of devotional love songs in Bengali and Sanskrit.

CD Reviews

Wonderful!
Annie Jalota | Tustin, CA, USA | 06/24/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I really enjoyed this CD! I originally purchased it for the second track, Madhava Murari. But the rest of the CD was just as delightful! Kim Waters' voice is really quite nice, and though I find it hard to understand her lyrics sometimes [it must be an accent thing, I suppose], the CD jacket helps. Traditional songs with more modern music - a great combination! Try it out - my favorite tracks are Vamsi Dhari, Madhava Murari, Antara Mandire, and Krishna Jinka. :)"
The Sweetness of Rasa

"Wonderful as always, this CD features various guest artists. The male voice is most welcome as it highlights the female voice and the instrumentals."
Another excellent CD
