Synopsis

Album Description
Randy Graves' new cd "Didgital" explores the use of solo didgeridoo with digital effects to create some spacious sounds like you've never heard before. This is not an over-processed computer-generated product, but live didgeridoo solos with simple rack effects. No looping, synthesizers, samplers, or computer editing were used until mastering, in order to maintain the human feel. Most tracks have an ambient feel, while still having that aggressive edge that the didgeridoo yearns for. Some tracks break out with the fast yet controlled percussiveness that practiced didgeridoo players can muster so well.

Techno-Trance-Dance-Didg

(4 out of 5 stars)

"The music on this album is not of your normal in the Didjerido genre. It's more like didj-techno-dance-trance and I thoroughly enjoyed it.You definitely won't be picking up a stick and playing along. However, if you are into the dance/techno scene and are interested in something different, then is would be a GREAT introduction into using other instruments and to Aboriginal Australian music as well.Excellent cover art, excellent editing and producing. Only short of 5 stars for a few missed beats here and there in the music. I couldn't positively identify them, but I would be in a good music induced trance and suddenly be "shocked" out of it by an unexpected change in rhythm maybe once or twice during the album."
