"This is a brilliant score composed by Randy Edelman for the 1995 cable television movie. We usually do not get scores of this caliber composed for a made for TV movie. The score reflects the drive to find the killer and the frustration of the Russian detective against his country's bureaucracy. That combined with the elusive nature of the killer and the scarce trail to uncover the identity of the serial killer of 52 people over an eight-year period are brilliantly captured by Edelman's score. Randy Edelman's score contains a strange undercurrent theme that you will not forget once you hear it. Edelman's important score gives this interesting and deliberate television film great credibility and recognition that it deserved. Both THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS and DAYLIGHT are films that are testament to Randy Edelman's brilliant insight into scoring the emotions and drive of the main characters. This is a very good CD."
