Lacy and Blake with Ricky Ford explore with deep intellectual and emotional feeling the great George Gershwin's legacy, respectful for the melodies, almost singing the famous texts. A close listen will surely be rewarded with 'magical' surprises, stunning use of dynamics and spaces (I am speaking about Masters, indeed); no trivial playing here, no superficial quoting or post-modernism.
