"This wonderful CD combines two long guided meditations with two beautifully chanted sacred texts. If you have a connection with the great Saint Ramakrishna, or would like to, the Meditation on Sri Ramakrishna is very powerful. Next comes the chanting of Sri Ramakrisna Ashtakam by O.S. Arun, which nicely evokes devotion to a master. The Vedantic Meditation is a beautiful example of traditional meditation instructions from the highest standpoint; the love of God, Self, Oversoul, etc. Finally, and what I like the best, is a sublimely haunting version of the Nirvanashatakam, again chanted by O.S. Arun, who manages to communicate the enlightened state, rich with devotional feeling and beyond the cares of the world. This final track on the CD is now something I use before I sit for meditation with great joy. One final note for completists, he doesn't sing one of the traditional verses, so if it is important to you to have a full version, you may want to seek out another one.
