Excellent

"This was my first Illenberger CD but certainly not my last. I wouldn't really call it new age, but I can understand why it is categorized as such. I would say it is more of a cross between new age and fusion jazz. This is an excellent disc, even if you are not a fan of the genre. Ralf is such a talented guitar player, writer and producer but always lets his band members shine. The great, multi-instrument playing, Budi Siebert being one of them. Every track on this disc, other than the rare Illenberger vocal track `You and I', is very good if not great. Track #10, `Quiet Morning', is one of the best music pieces I have ever heard. This disc ranks right up there with the other Illenberger discs that I own that include `Circle', `Heart and Beat', `The Gateway' and `Sedona' among others. Highly recommended."

"This is the CD that first got me hooked on Mr. Illenberger's repertoire of work. I'm not usually fond of new age (i.e., light on talent) music. Soleil, however, touches upon elements of jazz, fusion, and folk, and is my favorite release from the artist. Do yourself a favor and buy it!"
