Start off at low volume, and as the pressure slowly rises, and the chuff-chuff, slip--chuffchuff-chuff of the pistons gains speed and meaningful rhythym,crank the volume ever louder until you'll swear there IS as railroad running through the middle of your house--as the throaty roar of the engine's whistle pierces your living room, don't be surprised if neighbor kids come to the door, asking, "What is that? " Sure hit with railfans of all ages, and a curiosity for folks under the age of 35, who've never experienced the real thing. The above method is also surefire for waking slug-abeds for whom an alarm clock is a mere annoyance. (I know. This recording, in a previous incarnation, was used by my parents for that very purpose.)"
