Rachmaninoff's 1st - almost free!

"I first bought this on tape about twelve years ago.The orchestra is the Gdansk Philharmonic conducted by Pawel Przytocki. Don't be fooled by the price,the sound here is very good and the performance is even better.Ecstatic is the word that comes to mind here.(If Glazunov had gotten this kind of performace at this works premiere,it might have had a very different history.)I recently bought this same recording on CD on the Onyx Classics label and I'm very glad that I found it.I hope someone finds this review because,at the price, this is a steal!"
