Synopsis

Product Description
After 22 years out-of-print this re-issue of an Oldschool Skatecore-ThrashPunk Classic comes completely remastered with 5 unreleased tracks, 20-page booklet, interviews & liner notes by original members and more. Founded 1982 in Santa Barbara / CA, the RICH KIDS ON LSD will always be remembered as one of the best and most influential HC / Skatepunk groups of the mid / late 80ties, with an unique virtuosity, speed, drive and musicianship - you won´t find any important SkateCore-band nowadays, who don´t quote RKL as one of the main inspirations. Like many other great and unique groups RKL later imploded in between personal tragedies, drugs and drama, but their songs will remain forever. This album features the group at their absolute musical peak: Live in Europe 1988, short after releasing "RnR-Nightmare", with their classic and best-ever line-up. 22 Songs live in Berlin, 5 bonus songs recorded someday in 2000 or 2001 at RKL´s practice & recording space in San Francisco. RKL on this: This CD was made TOGETHER / in cooparation with all surviving bandmembers and close friends. For the first time Chris Rest (Guitar) gave an interview about the band and their 80ties-period, other guitarist Barry D`Alive went to "LSD-Art-Coryphee" Mark McCloud to get new Acid-Hits Graphics for the cover and Joe Raposo (Bass) personally painted and reconstructed the original Dany Sites lettering & logo with pen and ink. (All originals are missing, of course). Friends of the band searched and contributed the masters of the bonustracks 2000/01 and made it finally available on CD ...and then everything was digitally remastered. It took more than 2 1/2 years from making first plans until european realease date in Oct. 2011.
