Elevator Music *sigh*

"Keep in mind I haven't yet listened to every track on every CD. I'm currently working my through the first one, but I have no reason to suspect that the other... three will be any different. In retrospect, I should have read the description and song list carefully before purchasing this. These are from what I can tell all covers of pop songs (and poor ones at that). It's start off decently with Your Song by Elton John. Then the piano vocal part comes in...
I was intending to get a large collection of piano solos (with maybe a smattering of strings thrown in here and there) similar to say... Jeff Bjorck (which I highly recommend: Piano Panaramas) or... Danny Wright (Autumn Dreams). Instead I get elevator music. I was thrown by the title's similarity to Pure Moods.
My dislike of the tracks in a nutshell:
A. These aren't played on a piano for starters. It's a keyboard with a piano font, and it's not nearly as expressive (as anyone that enjoys the piano knows). The more I listen, the more insulted I'm getting...
B. These barely consist by majority of piano. There're synths (bad synth)... guitars... VOCALS... etc. The "piano" simply diddles out the vocal part. Most of this is akin to a new guitar player playing the basic vocal notes of his favorite rock song (and he doesn't know how to bend yet).
C. They're not expressive in any way. I feel like I'm listening to a computer generated version of the songs. As if someone had stored them all as MIDI, then played them through a built in sound chip (ie crap). Hell, I have HEARD MIDI's more expressive than this now that I mention it... No tempo changes... No dynamics... I'm pretty crap at guitar, and I'd be embarrassed to put something of this... quality... out to sell.
Anyway, don't get this. Whatever music you like, I can pretty much guarantee you won't like this. I listen to all sorts of music (Amy Grant, Beethoven, Nine Inch Nails, Nile, Phil Collins, Gillean Welch, Yanni, etc) and this is just plain D U L L.
And, if you decided to buy it anyway: I tooooold you so :-P"
