""Countdown" is a compilation that only true Pulp fans could love, others might just not get it. It is a 2 CD combo of tracks (percieved to the the strongest) from their first four albums, with a few of the trimings tossed in. While the best tracks are, undoubtedly, "Dogs are Everywhere", "Master of the Universe", and "Death Goes to the Disco", all of them are good, campy, and sometimes cheesy in their own way. Keep in mind that these songs brought little attention to Pulp when they were first released, but now that they are one of Britian's biggest bands, they seem to all of a sudden make sense. A good investment for people who want their older matereal, but don't want to spring for all the albums. Their best music was yet to come, but it is interesting to see where they started. A god-send for old and new fans."
