"1991's Recycled is the third and final album by the melodic hard rock band Prophet. Like its predecessor (Cycle of the Moon), Recycled featured former Surgin' main man Russell Arcara on vocals. I know some people find his voice annoying, but I think it suits this kind of music.



Appropriately, Recycled follows the same formula as Cycle of the Moon. The album is a straightforward melodic hard rock release, with big guitar hooks, prominent keyboards and of course a couple of ballads. Prophet stands in that blurry line between AOR and hair metal with bands like Giant, Bad English, and Damn Yankees, albeit nowhere near as good as those bands. Still, if you're into that era's melodic hard rock, chances are you'll enjoy Recycled."
