Product Description On this gentle, deeply moving album, the intimate, musical conversation between mother and daughter wraps you in a soothing blanket of sound. Five classical kirtan tracks feature the rich vocal interplay between Prabhu Nam Kaur and her daughter, Snatam Kaur. Accompanied by layers of tabla, harmonium, viola, bansuri, keyboards, guitar and bass guitar. These devotional hymns are from the Sikh tradition of Gurbani Kirtan. The words are direct transmissions from the Sound Current, recited by Amar Das, the bards Satte and Balwand, and Guru Arjan, who lived in 16th century India. I am happy to say this album is full of light and inspiration for all to listen too. I feel the Mother of us all in the singing. I am not so sure that the person's playing the instruments hold the same vibration as the singer's, however this is irrelavent to this album. I am a devotee of Yogananda and all their music as SRF holds dear to my heart. As it is very difficult to find music that is pure today!!! If you are looking for that. Then this is for you. Many do not have a clue what is being music and sounds around us does to our conciousness. We are mostly oblivious to this. Thank you for performing and giving us something clean and pure for us all to enjoy while we are here.
