"The first release of this self titled Pound & Beers CD is one that can't be pinned down as to what style it is. This CD offers much diversity, which may give you an insight to the guys in Pound & Beers. This CD at times, offers a *kickin back and take it in* mood, while at other moments, one must get up and dance, move or something! I REALLY enjoy the variations of the way the music was written, with changes that happen within each of these songs. Each instrument singing out with its own voice.... The singing voices of Joe and Adam are awesome, displaying tenderness along with passionate techniques played in guitar, bass and percussion by Adam, Joe, Levi and Dan are swwwwweeeet! The timings within each song; pacing at different intervals, smoothly coming together without breaking stride. Very moving... =) The lyrics are well written, with a story or whatnot to share. As in *LOVE YOU YESTERDAY*, I love the title itself. The lyric portion *to cure your gloom I'd tear down the whole night sky and spread it across our room, but for now...* I felt this lyric moving because to share a beautiful clear starry night sky, whether on a moutain-top in Colorado or a cold Michigan evening sky.....very moving. Have you noticed the beautiful *starry* pictures on the CD package? I continue picking up new portions EVERY time I listen to this CD, whether it be the lyrics or the music itself. Is it possible for laser divots to develop? Heh Heh...I must give mention to this song....For personal reasons, I keep listening to *THE MYSTERY* over and over. The music portion is very sentimental to me, especially for guitar. Well done POUND & BEERS for a beautifully done first CD. I am confidant with the gifts that these guys have been given, other great CDs will soon follow! Thank you for sharing!"
