Lovely 32 is the sophomore release from the Lawrence, KS based band Podstar. Lots of intricate guitars, harmonies, and a rockin' sound. Their lyrics are mostly about what romance means to young adult males who only want regular sex from a faithful girlfriend (or two). Their music, though, is a compatible and engaging mix of guitar-based power pop, indie-rock and new wave (Material Issue, American Hi-Fi, Cheap Trick, Lit, Lemonheads), which is why they're usually as tuneful as a college fight song.
