Bumpin Out tha Frame!
delois williams | South Memphis, Tn | 01/16/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Look here Fly is knockin out that frame so get all his albums espically this one cuz to me its tha crunkest. If you like BASS then this is tha album fo you. Yeah, and fa ya'll who wanna know why fly talked about 3-6 Mafia is because Fly used to be in 3-6 Mafia for a long time. He's on tha Mystic Stylez album. Fly sniffs dat white powder and 3-6 didn't like that so they kicked him out. They didn't even try to help him. So that why he made that song"
FLY IS BACK FOR THE 99 AND STILL ON FIRE!
delois williams | 10/06/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"After impressing me with his sophomore album, Moving On, as well as his debut, Fly Sh*t, I expected Fly to keep us crunk with his tight flows and bumpin' beats. When I heard that he had a new album coming out entitled, Just Getting It On, I knew I had to go out and get that junt. I totally dug the whole album. The title track sets off the entire album. "Do you mind if we be gettin it on?" No sir, not one bit. That song is so hot I think I burned my ear listening to it. "F**k a Wanna Be" is sure to draw some attention because of its funky beat and catchy chorus. The dopest song on the album would have to be "Just Awaken Shaken". This song really spotlights Fly's vocal skills and the music is tight. Other cuts that stand out are "Catch You Slippin'", "Ana 'ho", and the 14 minute "Damn What a Nigga Say", with the whole SPV-SPL click. The controversial "Triple Bitch Mafia" should make the Three-6-Mafia fans a little hot, or not. I know I bump Fly and Three 6 so whatever ana they got is between them, and it really don't bother me that much. I do hope they resovle their problems soon cause Memphis rappers need to stay together and squash all that nonsense. Imagine if they teamed up on an album. Mane, you know that would be tight. Fly is truly the man, and once again has represented South Memphis, Tennessee very well. I'm looking forward to what Fly has in store for us next. IBN 2 PLAYA FLY EVERYDAY."
Fly is tha king

"First of all, y'all needa get y'all facts straight. This wasn't no new album for 99 just a re-realese of Fly's undaground album. He added one track, too (F_ck a Wannabe).

secondly, Fly is validated in making the Triple [...] Mafia song. 'Cause that's what they is. They used to be hard, but they sold out, and now they commercialized and part of the got damn system. Fly said it himself...it wasn't 'bout no paper or time or anything...he just thought that was [...] and exposed them for that. That simple

Third of all, this album is bumpin' as hell and is a classic like all of Fly's albums. This is either his best or second best album, and he comes hard all tha damn time. Plus, guests like Gangsta Blac, Lil' Ced, Lil' Yo, V-Dog, and more make this album one that you gotta listen to.

PS Fly back on lock down, but MAFIA ALL DAY still gon come out. Cop it when it drops."
