Ya Llegó la Plastilina Mosh

"For those who are unfamiliar with P.Mosh, it is comprised of two guys, Alejandro Rosso and Jonaz, both of Monterrey, Mexico. They burst out on the scene in '98 with Aquamosh, and this is their third full length album. And it rocks. From the opening track blaring "Plastilina has the beat," to the last, in which they actually recorded their thank you's, this album does not disappoint. For one thing, the musical styles used on the album range from rock/rap (Enzo) to sort of an acid jazz (Houston) and everything in between. My personal favorite on the album thus far is "Pekín Jazz," which reminds me of something I would hear in a little coffee shop. I also like "Shake Your Pubis," and the sweet percussion. The end of "Grooveman" features a classical guitar, and "Pinche Stereo Band" has a bit of a 70's disco feel. These guys are amazingly talented and every track shows. Multiple languages are used, the most predominant being Spanish and English. Don't ignore this album just because you may not understand all of their lyrics. For those that enjoyed the Ocean's Eleven soundtrack or Beck's "Midnight Vultures," which also displayed incredible diversity, this will probably become another favorite in your collection. It's hard to find, but well worth it."

"Hola Chicuelos is another great CD from Plastilina Mosh. Not only is it in Spanish and English, but (and I had to listen to it twice to be sure) the track Celeste is in Japanese. So North or South of the border, East or West side of the Pacific, theres something here for you. Each track has a creative and unique sound to it. It would be nice if it came with lyrics to all the songs, it only has the lyrics for one of them. My Spanish isn't good enough to understand some of the songs without seeing it written out."
