CD Reviews

Melodic hard rock classic!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is one of the greatist albums I found of pc69, They were mostly a quartet with only 1 amazing guitarist alfred koffler and with original singer andi deris (helloween) who was simply the greatist singer. This album has all the greatist heavy guitar hooks and with rich hard rock melody.

It's truly a shame these guys were highly unnoticed in the united states. Also check out some of the david redman era of PC69 he is also a great singer and this album is kinda like a 91 classical version of electrified even the cover resembles both albums (i guess nobody realized that).

If you see this album at around 20 bucks don't wait pick it up thats the best price, but for me I just bought it for 28 bucks (yeah that sucks)"
How did I miss these guys?

"I'm still kicking myself for not discovering Pink Cream 69 until a few years ago. I pretty much lived for this kind of melodic hard rock back when PC69 arrived on the scene (still do, actually), and would have been all over this band had I had the opportunity to hear them. Unfortunately the band never made much of an impact in the US. I wonder if they were just "too European" for American listeners' tastes. Bands like Slaughter and Firehouse were dominating the airwaves at the time, and PC69 didn't quite have the same image or "T&A" lyrical content.

Whatever the reason, PC69's second album - 1991's One Size Fits All - went largely unnoticed here. It's a shame too, because it really is a fantastic melodic hard rock album. The band made major strides in the years following their self-titled 1989 debut, polishing up that album's party rock sound into something with a bit more punch. There are some monster guitar hooks on this album, and tons of great melodies. The song Do You Like It Like That should have been a massive radio hit here, and is the album's standout track, though there are plenty of great songs to choose from. The album is slightly uneven, with most of the best tracks stacked up on "side 1", but it's still a high quality melodic hard rock album overall.

Fans of 80's and early 90's hard rock owe it to themselves to check out Pink Cream 69. One Size Fits All is a great place to start, though if you really want to experience the band at their absolute best you should pick up Electrified."
More pink cream!!!

"This is a superb cd,full of great hooks and guitars. This is their best.

songs like "livin my life for you","talk to the moon","do you like it like

that",will have you wanting more. All the other songs are great as well.If

you can find this for a reasonable price, you've got to get it.Or if your

thinking -should you gamble $50.00?-you should, compared to the likes of

sargant fury cd's at the same price, this is way better !!even though

sargant's is pretty good."
