Synopsis

Album Description
Luke Reynolds writes 'This is the blog for my band, Pictures And Sound. We just finished recording our debut record produced by Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Tom Waits, Kings Of Leon). The band is: Me, Luke Reynolds (Blue Merle, $olal, Brett Dennen), Dave Wilder on bass (Macy Gray, Ghostface Killer) and Pete McNeal on drums and percussion (Jem, Guru, Redman). Besides writing, producing, recording (and the traveling that goes along with all three), big ups to: mountains, coffee, winter, fall, Motown, reading, snowboarding, hip hop, art, artic exploration, dub, Obama, dogs and vintage hoodies.'

The new definition of classic

"Having discovered this project just after recording was finished, and following Luke Reynolds heartfelt-without-hype blog with anticipation of the release, I can say with confidence that this is one of the best examples of songwriting and sound I've heard on one record since I bought my first copy of Jackson Browne's debut "Saturate Before Using". The balance is stunning. These musician's musicians read other like books and hold each other up to the light on every track. I hope it will be released on vinyl as well. I'll keep it in my "must have" collection along with Browne, Emmylou Harris' "Roses in the Snow", and Paul Simon's "Graceland".

This is what music can return to, if we slow down long enough to really, really listen."
