"Is there anyone out there who wishes they could return to the days of the REAL heavy metal bands? Real bands like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath? Well, your wish has been granted. Phantom Stranger, hailing out of Lake County Illinois, brings back memories of the days when all you needed was a couple guitars, a bass, a drum-set and some really upset scary guy screaming out lyrics. But these guys aren't just a throwback, copycat of the good old days. They bring a new perspective to their music with fantastic musicianship and thought provoking lyrics. Take the opening track, Trembling, for example. It tells the cautionary tale of a young man whose life takes a dramatic turn when he contracts AIDS. The song Ender?s Game is a brilliant tribute to O. S. Card?s novel of the same name. These boys have done their homework and managed to capture the intensity and soul of what heavy metal was intended to be. So if you long for the days before Ozzy sold out to MTV and Metallica became rich and lazy, give this disk a spin. You won?t be disappointed."
