Synopsis

Petey Pablo, whose gruff and agile vocals are buffeted by truly inspired party beats, is dead set on putting his home state of North Carolina on the map, and he might just be able to pull it off. A personality rapper who's less sugarcoated than Nelly yet not quite as gritty as Mystikal, Petey Pablo specializes in hip-hop anthems that might actually sound better flooding a football stadium than they would a dance floor. "919" in particular (or at least the clean version) is destined to become a pro-sports event favorite, down in North Cackalacka. And he deserves to be heard. Diary of a Sinner is a cut above your average generic Southern rap, and it's got some incredible, Timbaland-produced beats to give it some weight. --Rebecca Levine

Worst Dirty South Album!
Korey Parker | Lansing, MI | 04/24/2006
(1 out of 5 stars)

"This CD was the most messed up CD, I ever listened to especially because there was no hot songs on there except for "Raise Up", "Raise Up (All Cities)", and "Told Y'all". That's about it nothing else is hard. Do not buy this CD."
