CD Reviews

A great find!

"This album has been the soundtrack to my life for the past two years. The honesty of Peter Mulvey's words in combination with the simple power of his voice makes this album something that nearly every music lover will enjoy. Buy it now; put it on repeat and listen to one of modern folk's great poets."
Buying this album is step one, seeing him live is step two.

"I have all of Mulvey's cds, and they are all good, but Rapture is definitely my favorite. I'd put this on my top 10 cds of all-time list - I can leave this in my car cd player for weeks at a time. The guitar work on this cd is amazing and the lyrics are poeticly some of the best in modern day songwriting.I've seen Mulvey play a handful of times and for anyone who has never seen him play, go to his website, find out when he is playing nearby, and go! If you have even a remote appreciatian for good music then I guaruntee you will not be disapointed. Peter has a funny personality and an interesting past as a Boston subway musician. If you play guitar you will be amazed at how he plays. His guitar playing is full of odd tunings, and he comes up with a creative new style to playing guitar. So what are you waiting for? Buy this cd, it is one of my personal all time favorites.
Scott"

"I spent a Summer on Cape Cod in 1996, and a friend of mine went to this little coffee shop in Hyannis and heard this guy named Peter Mulvey, do a few numbers on his guitar. She fell in love, bought the CD and made me listen to it...over, and over , and over again! I fell in love with his music as well! He is an up and coming star, so be one of the first to have heard this guy before he hits the big time!"
