CD Reviews

On the contrary...

"I think the Trent Reznor remix is actually quite impressive. I love how the song has become even darker. Kudos to Peter Gabriel for working with Reznor, and of course congrats to Reznor for getting to work with Peter Gabriel!"

"Peter Gabriel's CD singles normally contain some gems, particularly the remixes and B-sides found on the CD singles taken from 1992's "Us." But the CD singles from "Up" are more disappointing, this one in particular. You'll find only three versions of "Growing Up" here--the album version, a shorter radio edit that greatly diminishes the song, and an uninspired remix. Not worth the bother, unless you absolutely have to have everything he does."

"Peter Gabriel is one of the rare artists that continues to renew himself every time he makes a record. With insightful lyrics, interesting melodies and lush, carefully arranged accompaniment, this album (though significantly different from his previous works) truly pushes the envelope of creativity. Credit Peter Gabriel for maintaining his enthusiasm and inspiration over the years and ultimately, for his ability to create masterpiece after masterpiece."
