Synopsis

Album Description
Surprisingly enough, this is the first ever commercially available mix CD featuring the skills of DJ legend and Red Ant label boss Pete Bones. Pete?s been on the touring DJ circuit for 15 years and producing for 12 is known in all corners of the globe. Pete?s first label Ugly Bug was launched to introduce him as a producer, recording under the name The Shaker. As a remixer, Pete?s remixes have graced many of dance music?s biggest labels ? FFRR, Perfecto, Hooj, and he later went on to be signed to XL Records, the UK home to Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Badly Drawn Boy, and Layo & Bushwacka! His unique turntable stylings and techy house sets have been heard in the best clubs from the US to South Africa where he held a residency at the infamous 330 Club in Durban. Now based in Tampa, Florida, Pete?s currently best known for his productions on his own Red Ant label, now approaching its 38th release. Live @ Kabal: Session 01 is the first in a series of mix collections taken from and inspired by this incredible club in Kansas City, Kabal, which has had some of dance music?s finest talents pass through its portals and grace its dj booth. The CD features tracks and mixes throughout its tech-house journey from the likes of Jon Carter, Slam, Hyper, Trevor Rockliffe, and two new tracks from Pete Bones.
