CD Reviews

Like Talib Kweli, Common? you'll love this !

"This album is in one word - brillant - Pete Miser has what it takes: raw talent, great lyrical flow and a profound sense of reality - no bling bling here - just honest and true words. Hip Hop really needs more positive role models like Pete. I have seen Pete live - no tracks - a full live band that is as good as The Roots on any day of the year - run don't walk to see his live show it's amazing (anyone who saw Pete play with his old band the 5 Fingers of Funk can attest to that) if you like Talib Kweli, Common, Dead Prez, or De La Soul you will enjoy this."
A hip hop album that's different AND still accessible

"Pete Ho, a/k/a Pete Miser dishes out distilled hip hop rhymes and beats that ring true to old school heads but don't automatically threaten or alienate people who usually "don't like rap." The jazzy, modern feel of a lot of the tracks combines with bumpin' production and a variety of smart, funny, or political lyrics, talented guests, and he takes his Asia-American background and makes it a source of strength and insight. Pete's been rockin' the mike for a long time, but this could be the album that blows up."
Pete Miser is amazing

"Radio Free Brooklyn is truly one of the best Rap albums EVER! And, yes, I stand by that statement. Proudly! Radio Free Brooklyn has great lyrics that talk about various subjects such as a nuclear attack (radio free brooklyn), relationships (for you), and the September 11 attacks (Might Be). "Might be" alone is the best song ever written about that day and worth you buying the album. Pete has great tracks that you can listen to over and over. You really don't want this album to end, and when it does, you will press play to hear it again."
