Perry Robinson shows the range of his talents here as composer, player and bandleader. From the upbeat swing of "Ola Tete" to the amazing ballad "Home" that I sometimes just keep on "repeat mode" Mr. Robinson demonstrates the phrasing, articulation and unique harmonic sense that mark him as a master clarinetist and modern jazz icon. His music here has great warmth and humanity. The band is solid and romps through the wide range of material.
