CD Reviews

Rags to Riches
D. Andrews | Gosport, England | 02/06/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"An excellent recording from this 1948 record, I came to jazz late in life and was put onto this album by a friend, it appears to lack critical acclaim but at least for a jazz novice I found it superb and recommend it to anyone who wants a real lift from some fun bits of music. I believe Pee Wee Hunt is a great music hero that really needs to be rediscovered."
Pee wee hunt - twelfth street rag
Robert Stewart | Bermuda | 10/27/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Pee Wee Hunt has always been one of my favorite Dixieland jazz bands, but his recordings have been difficult to acquire. This is a great CD with 28 tracks, containing some classics like Muskrat Ramble, Basin Street Blues, and Milenberg Joys, as well as the the title hit. High recommended if you like dixieland."
