Synopsis

Album Description
As an award-winning producer and member of the hip-hop production team The Prunes, Peder has produced, remixed, and released artists such as the Beastie Boys, DJ Krush, The Roots, and DJ Vadim. This record is slow, dark, cinematic, and soulful, and it demands your attention. Party music for ghosts, Twin Peaks tunes for cold winter nights, and disturbingly eerie and creaky sounds for your iPod. Partly instrumental with vocal contributions from Bay Area soul man Nino Moschella, NY-based gospel singer Dean Bowman, and Danish singers Ane Trolle and Joy Morgan. For fans of Joanna Newsom, Coco Rosie, Tom Waits, Amon Tobin, Susanna & The Magical Orchestra, Beach House.

CD Reviews

Moving music a la Tom Waits/Nina Simone

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Never heard of Peder before, but am blown away by how beautiful this cd is.

I thoroughly recommend you take your time and get lost in this very cinematic album. I know lots of people get compared to Tom Waits - but there's a similar lo-fi charm and eerie-ness on this CD. Should also appeal to fans of folks like Cinematic Orchestra, Feist, Cocoe Rosie, Radio Citizen, Joanna Newsom etc - a little different, definitely eccentric and not going be heard on Top 40 radio, but well worth a listen."
