Oakland CA's THE PATTERN deliver a rattle and shake all their own and they've set their sites on the world. Having shared stages with THE STROKES, X, THE DONNAS and others, THE PATTERN have honed their chaotic, sweat-soaked live show. They also have two tours of the UK, festival appearances and numerous US tours behind them. In April 2002 the band headed into San Francisco's Tiny Telephone Studios with veteran producer Alex Newport (ICARUS LINE, AT THE DRIVE-IN, THE MARS VOLTA) to record their highly anticipated debut album. Titled Real Feelness, the album is a fully realized statement of THE PATTERN's intent and mission. Over a bed of driving guitars, swirling bass and swinging drums, singer Christopher Appelgren delivers his skewed and slightly surreal view of the world. The band delivers a crashing, soulful version of rock'n'roll, without pretense and without irony, informed by their love of punk, garage rock and stomping soul. Real Feelness is the substance of life: love and lust, heartache and tragedy; the search for truth without compromise.
