"Open Hands," which was produced by Washington, DC area "Producer of the Year" Marco Delmar, features 11 of Pam Steinfeld's songs as well as an interpretation of John Gorka's tune "Love is Our Cross to Bear." Pam's songs are upbeat, rhythmic tunes or soulful ballads. Her topics range from coming to terms with an old relationship to a joyful re-creation of summer kickball games and the Good Humor Man. The CD features songs that garnered 4 awards from the Billboard Magazine Song Contest, as well as honors from the Unisong International Song Contest and the Great American Song Contest.According to Jon Carroll, keyboard-player and vocalist for Mary Chapin Carpenter, "Pam's songs can be playful without being cute, serious without being maudlin.
