"At the core of its existence, today's music industry relies primarily on its ability to blur and render indiscernible a fine line between the sublime and the ridiculous. "A Good Deed In A Weary World," the latest cd from PC Munoz And The Amen Corner, redefines that line and gives us all "...A Peak At Happiness Today." Kicking a bit of sense into the whole situation, the first track is a catchy tune called "Skin City," a song about a man finding salvation in a strip club by way of a kick in the head by a stripper. Imagine salvation for a dollar! Perhaps my favorite, the second track, "Miss You So Much," is a bright, soulful and ironically harmonious tune that depicts a relationship void of harmony. Indeed, "A Good Deed In A Weary World" is a funky ten track inquisition of the soul. In essence, the r&b hardline gospel according to PC Munoz And The Amen Corner."
Wow! a CD worth the money.

"In a world where I'm lucky to find a cd with more than two songs I can remember a week later, 'A Good Deed' comes as a relief.
PC Munoz's use of good old fashioned funk mixed with gospel experimentation stays with you. The track "high minded man" is just plain fun. (and not "bubble gum" fun either)"
I hated it!

"I HATED IT because I'm addicted to "A Good Deed in a Weary World". I can't take it out of my cd player. The tunes are funky (which I like) and the lyrics are so much fun to listen to. 5 out of 5 definitely!"
