"One of the great strengths of P-1's live show is the power of BA. She has a soprano that gleefully glides from soulful to seductive to downright playful and has bright stage presence. Much of this was captured on the band's debut album, Step - one of my favorite albums of recent years. Power falls short of that mark, but still shows promise of a band whose best work is yet to come.



The highlight of this album for me is Wisteria, a groove that is an incredible testament to the "blue-eyed soul" sound this band is capable of producing. The current single, Digital Lover, is a solid and sexy track that should see play nationally on your more dance-friendly radio stations.



I was disappointed with the treatment given to Morning Rush. In seeing the band play live, this song struck me as highlighting BA's sultry side to great effect, much like Cabbie on the debut album. Instead of the seductive soul track that practically had me drooling, I found a mid-tempo club song that was too chipper for its own good. A shame, as this song could have been the star of the album.



Not a bad sophomore effort, and I'll be anxiously following their progress."
