CD Reviews

Wonderful extras included!

"I own the regular soundtrack but bought this collector's edition too for the extras. I'm very glad I did. The extras are wonderful. Not only are two more songs included on the cd, but there's also a dvd of extras that satisfies real fans like me. On the dvd is a live outdoor performance of Falling Slowly that Glen and Marketa did for fans who couldn't get into one of their concerts. Also a live taping at KCRW radio of them performing three songs in studio. And a short documentary which gives a glimpse of Glen and Marketa at home in Ireland. The interviews are delightful and relaxed and real."
Falling Slowly the Most Beautiful Song Ever Written

"This CD should be given six stars - after seeing the movie not only did I run out and buy this CD I bought as many of the Frames CD's as I could get my hands on. There have been very few times that I have heard songs that blew me away on hearing them for the first time. Start with this soundtrack and then move on to the Frames's CD's . By the way, I am not a young 20 year-old lover of indie music. I grew up in the 70's and was weaned on the Stones and Beatles. This music moves me to tears."
I'm a fan.

"I now own the regular CD soundtrack, the movie DVD, the download from Napster, and now this "Collector's" CD + DVD. Yeah, I'm kind of taken with this music, the movie, the artists, ... all of it. The extra DVD alone is worth the price. It contains some neat live performances, but the part I enjoyed most was the extended interview with Glen and Marketa at their home in Ireland. Glen comments on how in their case life imitates art imitates life in an exhilarating and complex way. It's very clear from the obvious joy they share in each other and in their work that they are as amazed and pleased as we are."
