Synopsis

Product Description
French metallers OMMATIDIA are releasing their sophomore album « Let's Face It ». Four years back, the band received a warm welcome from both the press and the fans with their debut album In This Life Or The Next , featuring ex-The Old Dead Tree members as well as members from french acts Dustbowl, Sinn and Jarell. This new record raises the bar due to its well-established identity as the band spent countless hours refining the songs and setting the concept of the record. Catchy choruses, powerful guitar-riffing, significant lyrics and massive rythm section make the band more dynamic, versatile and detailed than before. The story is about a man discovering that his fate is sealed. Then he has to face the different ways he can either choose to deal with the end of his existence. The varying vocal ranges heard throughout the record lead the path to the character's deliverance. From pounding Immaculate to epic Coming Full Circle, atmospheres keep on evolving as the story behind the concept grows. From the astonishing chorus of Sunspot to the power-grooving guitar riff of A Lack Of Contrast In Life, the band shows he has mastered its influences from the 90's metal scene to nowadays alternative metal stuff. From the thrashy Dark Swelling to the psyche of Antagonism, the listener is taken on the journey told by vocalist Guillaume Richard through the dark realms of mind. Recorded in Lille at C&P Studio and mixed in Paris at Les Liens Du Son, the mastering (Conkrete Studio) brought a clear and mighty enhancement to the sound the band was looking for. Ommatidia is now looking forward to bring its new album to life on stage.
