Michael Kydonieus | San Francisco, CA United States | 11/06/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "I gave this five stars even though "Forgotten Fantasies" (true to its name, I don't think this essential recording is even in print) is Liebman and Beirach's best work together as a duo. Liebman is the romantic here and Beirach the icy intellectual--together, they make pure magic. The original tunes are great, no surprise considering the compositional talent of these two, and the reworkings of standards are imaginative while still retaining what made them great.
