'Confirmation' followed the Grammy nominated 'Ceora' only to be the final trumpet/flugelhorn effort of then 14year old jazz trumpet star Oliver Hunt. Following a lip injury later the same year, Oliver was forced to abandoned a meteoric rise to the top of the trumpet ladder. He did, however, record what has been acknowledged a a jazz masterpiece in 'Confirmation'. While displaying a distinct Clifford Brown influence on trumpet, his flugelhorn sound retained aspects of early Miles while at the same time displaying a wholly modern and fully developed approach that resulted in a CD of unparralled beauty.
