CD Reviews

Truly one for the whole family

"This is an amazing CD for kids because not only do kids love it, but it really does appeal to adults too. (I've heard this claim before with respect to other albums and....call me a music snob, but I have never before found it to hold water. This one, though, really is THAT good.) Don't let the mostly basic song titles fool you, because this is NOT basic kiddie music. Even the old standbys are jazzed up in a cute folksy way that make them seem new and alive - lots of fun. (If this tells you anything, they actually managed to record the Hokey-Pokey in a style that isn't the least bit annoying...truly a miraculous feat!) A nice bonus: many of the songs invite inter-active play (lap play, picking them up, etc.) between adults & their young children. I would recommend this to anyone with preschoolers, especially anyone who was a music fan before having kids & who can't stand listening to chipmunks-style, whiny, high-pitched vocals. Enjoy!!"
Gets the little feet moving

"It's hard to tell who enjoys this disk more, my 12 month old or me! The songs have an extra groove to them that really get you and your child moving. Songs like "Old MacDonald" and "Wheels on the Bus" make one feel like grabbing a tambourine and dancing around the house. This disk also exposes your little one to counting, different languages, parts of the body , and of course how to really move to the music. The songs move along quickly to keep the short attention span of a child involved. I highly recommend this disk to all parents."
Songs for Parents

"My 2-year-old son loves this CD. And it is great fun for him to listen to. It is very creative and inventive in its renditions of classic childrens' songs. But the reason I really recommend it to all parents of young children, is that it doesn't become tiresome listening even after repeated playing on a daily basis! Stand-outs are "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider" (with a French version included), "If You're Happy and You Know It" (with such inventive activities as wiggling you ears), "Five Little Monkeys", "Old MacDonald" (it really takes something special to make "Old MacDonald" sound fresh!) and "Hokey Pokey" (during which my son always falls over giggling after trying to "put his belly-button in".)"
