"Oktober, probably one of the most slept on artists ever to emerge from the midst of the underground. From previous classics such as projekt:building, and the oktober EP it was obvious that Oktober ain't no joke. Now in the '05 "The Art of Raw" is his second offical album, and it doesnt disappoint. Similar to Phonte's "foreign exchange"...otkober teamed up with Q-Tones (producer) from the UK but over an internet connection rather than in person. An the outcome is phenomenal, the beats and lyrics complement each other perfectly, and since the songs on this album have much more significant concepts than previous work, its amazing how they were able to make it match so perfectly. Sick FLOW ,Cuts, Hooks, Lyrics, Beats, Energy .. Oktober's "the Art of Raw" needs to be checked out, and discover an artist that you probably so ashamed you had never heard of! PEACE (P.S. Check out Projekt Building, and the Ep, and madvandal and anything else you can get your hands on, Oktober is the realness!) Props to Q Tones for reppin the UK. It's time to rise! (Peep: Lewis Parker, Jehst, Klashnekoff, Kyza for some phenomenal hiphop) Youll thank me later...somehow.
