Cigarettes 'n' Oasis

"
This is a beautiful piece of promo for Oasis's first album Definitely Maybe (1994), one of the albums that made the 90's (at least in Europe)what they were: a refreshing period that proved that rock'n'roll was not dead.

The set is presented in a box of silver Benson & Hedges, the Gallagher brothers' favorite brand of cigarettes. This item is a collection of the singles released from the first album : Cigarettes 'n' alcohol, Supersonic, Live Forever, Rock'n'Roll Star plus a bonus CD featuring a collection of interviews given by the band throughout the world.

For any hardcore fan this is a real collector and a nice object as well.

The singles feature a bunch of great B-sides, and A-side lives. It is faithfull to the Oasis tradition that the B-sides (at least for the first 3 albums) were as good, and sometimes even better, than the A-sides they accompanied so don't hesitate, this is real good britpop and a nice trip down memory lane.

This collector was released alongside with another one, the collection of singles from (What's the story)Morning Glory? their hit album of 1995. This set is in a golden B&H pack and features a CD of interviews as well, nevertheless don't get too excited about it because the itw are the same in both the sets. The B-sides from Morning Glory? are even better than the ones for Definitely Maybe (at least it's my opinion). The singles are : Don't look back in anger, Wonderwall, Roll with it and Champagne Supernova. Great singles if ever there were any !

note for the Oasis part time fans: the most wonderfull single Whatever does not feature on any album, and although released at Christmas 1994 between DM and Morning Glory?, is not part of any of these sets."
