Synopsis

Album Description
The 2006 release of the Free album was a revelation of sorts, as the duo of Kevin Moore and Jim Matheos took the ambitious sounds of progressive rock and molded them into a home-spun brand of art rock full of eclectic and uncompromising sounds. An outpouring of support from the metal, alternative, and art rock scenes would follow, with O.S.I. tapping into a vein rarely traveled by two veterans of the prog metal scene. Now, with the re: free EP, O.S.I. takes three tracks from Free: Go, Kicking and Home Was Good and remixes them, adding a fresh slant to these already dangerous and thought-provoking tracks. Accompanied by a multimedia section featuring the video for Free, re: free furthers the sonic ambitions of a duo that has only scratched the surface of its capabilities.

Short but Good

(4 out of 5 stars)

"I really like this CD, and own the two other CDs before it (OSI Special Edition and Free). The music is great, but the value is not - $10 for three songs. I'd recommend getting the downloadable MP3 version for a third the price, or even better, try to find a FLAC download."
