An Excellent Second Album

"After their first album Two, NYCO's Ted Akatz and his band have come out with another spectacular album. They are a truly dynamic band. I played with them at Park West Chicago and this is realy al album worth buying. I'll talk about my favorite songs on the album:

3. "Out of My Head": A song clearly about love. There is something very catchy about the rhythms and lyrics that create a great atmosphere to the song. It starts out simply with an accompanied voice but goes straight into the whole band playing.

6. "The Ties That Bind Us": A flowing song that just works. It starts out with an intro that sounds like waves. A song about pretty much everyone's lives. It suddenly transitions into a ballad with lots of guitar but the vocals top all and create a really memorable song. The synthesized plucking of stringed instruments create a great under-rhythm.

8. "Sinners": Just the way this song starts out draws in. The simple guitar rhythm mixed with synthesizer then mixed with bass plucking. The moment the vocals are added, you're instantly drawn in. That guitar motif comes back throughout the piece. It's a relaxed, hot-weather song that is syrupy but spicy.



Those are my 3 personal favorites off the album, but leave it up to yourself to discover your favorites. A great band that not many people know about, NYCO is really worth listening to. This album will leave you wanting more."
