Classic DC hardcore
(4 out of 5 stars)
"World's collide play metal and alternative infused hardcore music. Memebers of the band have gone on to form current bands such as Damnation A.D., Battery, and Bluetip. As the title suggests, this is a negative record. Much of the lyrics seem to deal with inner struggle and disillusionment. These subjects provide the band with powerful fuel, and the message of reality check is apparent. In my opinion, this band is overlooked by all the DC hard-core historists that flock to minor-threat, dag nasty, bad brains, et all. The music might not be old school, but it is played with conviction, emotion, and exellent technique. For those not familiar with the D.C. scene, I'd say that this record sounds like one part Slayer's "south of heaven," one part Rollins Band, one part seattle, and one part SOIA. In other words, it is heavy and emotional. In my opinion it is brilliant."

"if you are interested in punk/straight-edge history, buy this record. while all the other pansies in d.c. were getting too hip for their own good, worlds collide was busy getting hard as f***k! metal riffs, dark lyrics, and churning drums. The singer went on to join acts like jack potential and the whips."
