NSN's first album combines influences and approaches from art rock, ambience, and experimental noise to progressive arrangements with thick vocal harmonies and an element of punky high-energy sound creation. While not a strict concept album, Samadhi features many recurring musical and lyrical themes in a series of variations. The band's influences span multiple genres, and hit on such artists as Mr. Bungle, John Zorn, Echolyn, Porcupine Tree, Danny Elfman, Secret Chiefs 3, and Frank Zappa.
